Sorry for the lack of posts for Scratchcard Winner of the Week.
We have been a bit pre-occupied with a certain sporting event, which like most scratchcards, built up our hopes and dreams of a big win, but ultimately never came to fruition.
However, we are back with a great £1,000 scratchcard win.
This post comes from Rob who contacted us on Instagram and here's what he had to say to us:
Scratchcard Winners: Hi Rob, thanks a lot for sending us the photo of your winner - nice win! First off, can you tell us where you bought the lucky card?
Rob: I bought the ticket from my local Waitrose, admittedly, which I don't normally go to.
SW: So what prompted you to go there?
Rob: I was just taking my son for a walk and decided to cash in 2 cards I had which were winners of £20
SW: Is this the reason for going for a £10 game?
Rob: I chose two £10 cards mainly because the stand was pretty empty to be honest.
SW: It turned out to be a good choice then! What is your typical scratchcard spend?
Rob: I usually spend between £20-40 a month on cards and I tend to use winnings to buy more.
SW: What has been your biggest winner prior to this?
Rob: I have had quite a few £100 wins, but nothing bigger. These have been on £5 cards.
SW: How did you go about cashing in the scratchcard?
Rob: I went to my local Post Office, but it was nothing but hassle. At first, nobody knew what they were doing when trying to cash it so I had to go back the next day to get it successfully paid out.
SW: Does this make the £250 million cash spectacular scratchcard your favourite?
Rob: It does now!
SW: Finally, what advice do you have to our fans reading this?
Rob: The only advice I have to anyone wanting to win big is to go with your first instincts on a card and don't spend too much on scratchcards. The win will find you, as it did with me. I was very lucky!
